Do you want to view additional information on a title? By clicking on a title from your result set or on a book jacket from the Book River, Browse Genre, or Display Case, you are redirected to the Details page. The Details page consists of the following five tabs: Description, Copies, Borrower Reviews, Editorial Reviews, and MARC Record. The Description tab is the default. To access the other four tabs, click the tab of your choice. Depending on your library's setup, if any of these tabs are not shown as an option, you will not be able to view them.
Below you will find a detailed description for each of the five tabs:
Description: In this tab on the left section, you will find information regarding the Author, Publisher, Total number of check outs, Total number of requests pending, Location(s), Collection, Call Number, Item Status, and Map button. In addition, there might be information to include some of the following: Alternate Titles, Subjects, Notes, Summary, Series, ISBN, UPC, Length, Similar Books, Related Books, Tags, Additional Authors, Electronic Resources, and Volume. Note: If the title has more than five items at one location, there will be a (xx) more link, indicating additional items. When you click the (xx) more link, the next thirty items display. If there are no items on the title a message will advise of such.
An example of the Description page is shown below.

On the right section, you will find a book jacket. Depending on your library's settings, when you mouse over the book jacket a pop-up advising, Image by: amazon.com displays. Click amazon.com to go directly to the amazon.com Web site.
In the event there is no book jacket available for a specific title, either the image space will be blank or a generic book jacket will be in its place. The generic book jacket only contains the title. An example of a generic book jacket is shown below.

Below the book jacket, you will find the
Request and Add-to-list
buttons. The Add-to-list
button allows you to add the
current item to your list. The Request
button allows you to place the current item on request. The word
Hold might display instead of
Request, but either way the meaning
is the same. Depending on your library's setup, this option may not be available at this
time or the Request button might only be displayed if the item is currently
checked out. Therefore, you would not
be allowed to place a request for available items located on the shelf.
For more information on the Request and Add-to-list buttons, see
Place Item on Request and Save
Lists.
Directly below the Request and Add-to-list buttons, you will find a symbol representing the type of format of this item. For example, Book, Music CD, Visual Materials, VHS, Sound Recording, etc. Place your mouse over the symbol to display the type of format.
Below the format symbol, you will find any tags that are listed, as well as the option to add one. Depending on your library's setup, you might also find tags displayed to the left. For more information on tags, see Add a Tag and Understand Tags.
In addition, you can view other titles by the same author, subject, or series. To initiate a new search by the same author, subject, or series, select a choice from under the Authors or Subjects or Series heading. Your new search results appear. For example, by clicking on Coben, Harlan as shown below, you will retrieve only his titles in the search results.

The search term now appears as author:"Coben, Harlan", as shown below. Tip! To perform any search by author, type author:"[name of author]" in the search field box.

In addition, you can view related and similar books specifically geared to your title. To initiate a new search containing related or similar books, select a choice from under Similar Books or Related Books. The selected title will appear. For example, by clicking One false move under Similar Books as shown below, you will retrieve only this title in the search result. Special note to those libraries using Internet Explorer: You might receive a pop-up window asking, Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? Click OK and then you will be directed to the search result.

An example of how the new search result will appear is shown below.

Note: To go back to the same Details page, you will need to re-enter the title in the Search box and click on the title.
Did you know by using your browser's Print button, you can print a copy of this page? But before you print, check with your librarian for the library's policy on printing. Print fees may be involved.
Copies: In the tab to the right of Description, you will find the total number of check outs, total number of requests pending, location, collection, call number, item status, Map button and a Request button. If the title has more than five items at one location, there will be a (xx) more link, indicating additional items. When you click the (xx) more link, the next thirty items display. Depending on the type of item status, there might be a due date as to when the item should be expected back in the library by the current borrower. The Map button shows where the item can be located in the library. The Request button allows you to place the current item on request. The word Hold might display instead of Request, but either way the meaning is the same. Depending on your library's setup, the Map and/or Request option may not be available at this time or the Request button might only be displayed if the item is currently checked out. Therefore, you would not be allowed to place a request for available items located on the shelf. For more information on these two options, see Locate Item on Bookshelf and Place Item on Request. An example of the Copies page is shown below. If there are no items on a title, a message will advise of such.

Borrower Reviews: In the tab to the right of Copies, you will find the number of reviews submitted as well as the average rating represented by stars for those titles that contain a review. These reviews are composed and rated by fellow borrowers, displaying five per page. If applicable, use the Next button to view additional reviews. An example of the Borrower Reviews page is shown below.

If you would like to write and rate a review, click the Add Review button. For more information on this topic, see Write Review of Item.
Editorial Reviews: In the tab to the right of Borrower Reviews, if available, you will find book reviews from various sources. For example, Publishers Weekly, Booklist, School Library Journal, as well as others. In addition to the reviews, there might be other information to include annotations, images of book covers, excerpts, author notes, descriptive summaries, etc. For additional information on this topic, see Read Editorial and Borrower Reviews.
An example of the Editorial Reviews page is shown below.

MARC Record: In the tab to the right of Editorial Reviews, if available, you will find what is called a MAchine Readable Cataloging (MARC) Record. A MARC Record is comprised of several different fields. Why are all of these fields important? All of the fields in the MARC Record are located in your library's database and aid in matching your search query to the actual item on your library's shelf.
Below is an example of some of the fields shown in a MARC Record.
