Register

Do you want to register for a temporary library card?  Simply fill out a short form and you will be on your way to owning a library card in just a few moments.  Be aware, you will be provided only a temporary library ID at this time.  After registering, you will receive a message advising how many days the temporary library ID is good for and how you should receive your permanent card.  Note:  Registering is for first time borrowers only.  If you forgot your library log on credentials, see Log On for more information.

 

How do you register?  The Register link can be found at the following locations:  Book River and Titles search page.  Depending on your library's setup, if Register is not shown, you will not be able to register online; please see a librarian.

Once you click Register from either area discussed above, an Online Borrower Registration form displays.  An example of the Online Borrower Registration form is shown in the example below.  This form will vary depending on your library's setup.

If your form has Terms and Conditions, you must read this section and then select the I agree to the above terms and conditions check box.  Once you select this check box, the rest of the form becomes enabled.

 

Type your information into the appropriate fields.  For those fields with a drop-down, select one that is most appropriate.   

 

Tips!

For the Desired Home Location drop-down, select the library location you use most often.

 

Fields shown with an asterisk (*) are required.  Failure to type information in the required fields will not allow you to register.  A message appears, notifying you which required fields are missing information.  Click OK and you are then returned to the Online Borrower Registration form.  The field boxes that are missing information will be highlighted in yellow, as shown in the example below.  Enter information in each of the required fields, then click Submit.

After you click Submit, print and sign the registration confirmation page if you plan to log on to your library's website before picking up your permanent card.   Logging on will require your assigned barcode number and password.   

 

Remember your card is temporary.  Be sure to note how many days it is good for and how you will receive your permanent card.  Some libraries will give you the choice whether to pick up the card or have it mailed.  If you are not given the choice, then this information will be shown on the registration confirmation page, as shown in the example below.  Note:  Failure to pick up the card in the allotted time will require you to register all over again.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!  After you have registered, click Log On if you want to take advantage of some of the privileges.  Click Done if you are finished with your current session.
