Renew Items

Do you need more time to read a book or you cannot get to the library before the due date?  Simply renew your items online.  Click My Account located on the lower-right drawer from the Titles or Browse Genre page.  When you click the My Account drawer, if you have not logged on to the system, a log on dialog box prompts for your credentials. Type your Library ID/PIN or User Name/Password credentials.  If you forgot your credentials or for more information on how to access your account, see Log On.  If you do not have an account, see your librarian in order to set one up.

 

Once logged on, click Loans, as shown in the example below.

Would you like to renew only one of your items?  From the Loans list, locate the item you want to renew, and select the Renew button located to the right of the due date status.  A message appears above the My Account drawer advising, Item renewed.  The new due date displays and the status changes to renewed.  To view the new number of remaining days, refresh the page by clicking the My Account drawer to close it, and then click the My Account drawer again.  

 

Note:  If an item cannot be renewed, a message displays advising, Item cannot be renewed at this time and the due date status changes to failed.  When you refresh the page by closing My Account and reopening My Account, the due date and due date status unchanged.  Some reasons why you cannot renew an item:

Would like to renew all of your items at one time?  From the Loans list, click the Renew All button located on the bottom right corner of the Loans page.  A message appears above the My Account drawer advising, Item(s) renewed.  The new due date displays and the status changes to renewed.  To view the new number of remaining days, refresh the page by clicking the My Account drawer to close it, and then click the My Account drawer again.  

 

Note:  If all items cannot be renewed, a message displays advising, Some items cannot be renewed at this time.  The items that cannot be renewed have a due date status of failed.  When you refresh the page by closing My Account and reopening My Account, the due date and due date status remains unchanged.  Some reasons why you would not be able to renew an item:

Would you like to print the Loans page?  Click the Print button, as shown below.

A pop-up window displays several options, as shown below.

Select Current Loans and then click Print.  

 

Note:  Check with your librarian for the library's policy on printing.  Print fees may be involved.

 

To log off or to continue with your current session, click the X located to the right of the My Account drawer, as shown in the example below.

You are redirected to the Titles page;  continue as desired or select Log Off.  

 

WARNING!

Failure to log off could allow other borrowers to access your personal information.  After a certain amount of time with no mouse activity, you are automatically logged off.  However, protect your identity by logging off.
