Create EZ Log On Credentials

Do you want to create EZ Log On credentials?  To create EZ Log On credentials, click Log On located below Search Suggestions on the Titles page or on the upper-right corner of the screen.  When you click Log On, a dialog box prompts for your credentials.  Type your Library ID and PIN credentials.  Then click Create an EZ Log On, as shown in the example below.  Note:  If the Create an EZ Log On button is not shown, you will not be able to use this option.

After you click Create an EZ Log On, three additional fields appear, as shown in the example below.

Type a new user name in the User Name field.  Your User Name is not case-sensitive and can be used with any combination of the following:  uppercase letters, lowercase letters, symbols, and numbers.  For example, 123456, 1luvBks!, Luv2Read.  

 

Type a new password in the Password field.  Some systems allow you to have a maximum of up to eight characters.  Your Password is case-sensitive and can be used with any combination of the following:  uppercase letters, lowercase letters, symbols, and numbers.  For example, 123456, 1luvBks!, Luv2Read.

 

Re-type your password in the Confirm Password field.  In the event you type two different passwords, a message appears advising, Both password fields must match.  Re-type your password in both fields.

 

If Remember Me is an option, select this check box only if desired.  IMPORTANT!  This option is only recommended for home users; Do not use it if you are in a public library.  

 

When you are finished, click Finish Creating Your EZ Log On.   

 

Note:  If you receive the following message, You already have an EZ Log On, click My Account and your EZ Log On User Name will be displayed in the upper-right corner, located next to User Name.  If you forgot your password, click My Account and then Change Password to reset it. 

 

Where else can you create an EZ Log On?  You can also create an EZ Log On under My Account.  If you already setup an EZ Log On, it will display to the right of User Name.  In this case, you will not be able to create another EZ Log On, however, you can change your password if desired.  In addition, if either the Click to Create link or User Name is not shown, you will not be able to use this option.

 

Once logged on, select Click to Create, as shown in the example below.  Notice Change Password displays dimmed.  Once you establish an EZ Log On, this button becomes activated.

A Create User Name and Password dialog appears, as shown below.

Type your information in the tan field(s).  The field(s) will vary depending on your library's setup.  Tip!  If PIN is a required field, this is the number you used to log on to this current session.  

 

When you are finished, click Save.   

 

To log off or to continue with your current session, click the X located to the right of the My Account drawer, as shown in the example below.

You are redirected to the Titles page;  continue as desired or select Log Off.  

 

WARNING!

Failure to log off could allow other borrowers to access your personal information.  After a certain amount of time with no mouse activity, you are automatically logged off.  However, protect your identity by logging off.
