Would you like to change your PIN used with your library card number? To change your PIN, click My Account located on the bottom of the screen or from the Book River. When you click the My Account drawer, if you have not logged on to the system, a log on dialog box prompts for your credentials. Type your Library ID/PIN or User Name/Password credentials. If you forgot your credentials or for more information on how to access your account, see Log On.
Once logged on, click Change PIN, as shown in the example below. Note: Depending on your library's setup, if Change PIN is not shown as an option, you will not be able to edit your PIN. Consult with your librarian to make this change.

A new screen displays, as shown below.

Type your New PIN, Confirm PIN, and then Old PIN in the appropriate fields. A text box appears to the right of the New PIN field, symbolizing a weak, OK, good, or strong PIN. For best results, use a combination of six (6) or more numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and symbols. For example, 1LuvBks! would be considered a strong PIN, as shown below, because it contains eight characters with various combinations used. However, the maximum number of characters is eight (8). The PIN fields are case-sensitive.

When you are finished, click Save. Your PIN has been changed. You are returned to the My Account drawer.
Notes: If you enter two different PINs in the New PIN and Confirm PIN fields, a message displays advising, The new PINs do not match. Click OK and re-enter your PIN information using the same entry in both fields.
If you enter an incorrect Old PIN, a message displays advising, The Old PIN you entered is incorrect. The new PIN was not saved. Click OK and re-type your information in the Old PIN field.
If you forgot your PIN, contact your librarian.
Did you change your mind about modifying your PIN information or did you mean to select Change Password? If so, click the Cancel button. Your PIN information remains unchanged. You are returned to the My Account drawer. For more information on changing your password, see Change Password. Confused about Password and PIN, see Understand the Difference Between Password and PIN.
To log off or to continue with your current session, click the X located to the right of the My Account drawer, as shown in the example below.

You are redirected to the Titles page; continue as desired or select Log Off.
WARNING! Failure to log off could allow other borrowers to access your personal information. After a certain amount of time with no mouse activity, you are automatically logged off. However, protect your identity by logging off. |
