Do you want to view your items on request? Anything you currently have on request is listed in My Account under Requests. Click My Account located on the bottom of the screen or from the Book River. When you click the My Account drawer, if you have not logged on to the system, a log on dialog box prompts for your credentials. Type your Library ID/PIN or User Name/Password credentials. If you forgot your credentials, or need information on how to access your account, see Log On. If you do not have an account, register for a temporary library card or see your librarian to set one up.
If Requests are not available at your library, consult your librarian for your library's Request procedures.
Once logged on, click Requests.
(Depending on your library's setup, the word 'Holds'
may be used instead of 'Requests'.) Notice
the Requests heading displays
the total number of requests currently on hand. The example below
shows 10 items on request. You can use the drop-down list in the
right corner of the Request folder, shown below, to change the view from
Status to Title.
In the Status view, items
are listed in the following order: Arrived
display first, In Transit, and
then [number] in queue. If
an item has been suspended, the item falls in place based on what
its unsuspended status would be. See Suspend
Items on Request for information on Suspends.
If Title is selected from
the drop-down list, the titles display alphabetically. Articles (the,
a, an) are discarded and titles with numbers display first.

Each title listed will display the item's status or queue position and pickup location. Suspend, Re-activate, and Cancel buttons display depending on the item's status. For more information on these options, see Cancel Items on Request, Suspend Items on Request, or Re-activate Items on Request.
The queue lets you know the status of your request at all times. Items display any one of the following statuses: Arrived, Suspended, In Transit, or [number] in queue. The meaning of each status is discussed below:
Arrived: When your request displays Arrived, this item is ready to be picked up by you. Once your request has been picked up from the library, the requested item is automatically moved from Requests over to Loans.
Suspended: When your request displays Suspended to [date], this item has been postponed until a later date chosen by you.
In Transit: When your request displays In Transit, this item is being transferred from one library location to another library location. Once this item arrives, you are next in line to receive it. Library policies may vary as to how you are notified when the item arrives. Some libraries will call, e-mail or send a notice to advise you the item is ready for pick-up. Check with your library on Request policies.
[number] in queue: For example, 3 in queue means there are two borrowers in front of you.
If Bookings is available in your library, on the lower-portion of the Requests page, you will see a Bookings heading along with any outstanding bookings requests. The only button available for bookings is Cancel. For more information on this option, see Cancel Items on Request. An example of the Bookings heading and requests are shown below.

Would you like to print the Requests page? Click the Print button, as shown below.

A pop-up window displays several options, as shown below.

Select Current Requests and then click Print. Print fees may be involved. Check with your librarian for the library's policy on printing.
To log off, or to continue with your current session and close My Account, click the 'X' located to the right of the My Account drawer, as shown in the example below. You will be redirected to the Titles search page; continue as desired or select Log Off.

WARNING! Protect your identity by selecting Log Off once you are finished with your current session. Failure to log off could allow other borrowers to access your personal information. After a certain amount of time with no mouse activity, you will be automatically logged off. |
