Do you want to save selected titles
to a list for future reference? You can start to populate
a list by selecting the Save checked
item(s) to a list button
. This
button can be found in the following areas: Titles
search page, Browse
Genre page, Details page, or
Display Case.
Depending on your library's setup, if the Display
Case or Browse Genre is
not shown, you will not
be able to add items to a list from those particular options. Lists
can be renamed at any time using the Rename
button found at the bottom of the My
Lists drawer.
The following Save checked item(s to a list button areas are discussed below:
Titles search page: After you perform a search, in the individual search results whether displayed in the grid or list view, the Save checked item(s) to a list button displays, as shown in the example below.

Browse Genre page: If you place your mouse over a book jacket, the Save checked item(s) to a list button displays, as shown in the example below.

Details page: In the Description tab underneath the book jacket, the Save checked item(s) to a list button displays, as shown in the example below.

Display Case: If you place your mouse over a book jacket, the Save checked item(s) to a list button displays, as shown in the example below.

From any of the areas mentioned above the Save
checked item(s) to a list button
allows you to save ONLY
the selected items. Multiple result items can be saved at one time
by selecting the individual search result check boxes, located to the
right of the author's name, as shown below. Selecting the check
box highlights the title bar of the item.

If you want to save all of the items listed on the Titles search page, select the Select All check box located beside the Next button, as shown in the example below. Selecting this check box automatically highlights the title bar and places a check mark to the right of the author's name for all of the items on the page.

Next, click the Save checked item(s)
to a list button
displayed at
the top of the result list, as shown in the example below. This
option is only available from the Titles search page.

When you click the Save checked item(s) to a list button from any of the locations discussed above, if you have not logged on to your account, a dialog box prompts you for your credentials. Type your Library ID/PIN or User Name/Password credentials. If you forgot your credentials, or need information on how to access your account, see Log On. If you do not have an account, register for a temporary library card or see your librarian to set one up.
Once logged on, a dialog box appears, allowing you to save to My List or create your own heading. By selecting Create New List, a blank text field box appears, as shown below.

Type the new title. You are allotted up to 26 characters for the list title. Then, click the plus sign or press <Enter> to save your list. A message displays advising, Item(s) added to list.
There is no limit on how many lists you can save. After several saved lists, use the scroll bar on the right side to scroll down to view all of your titles. Lists will display in alphabetical order. Your last list entered will be automatically sorted with any existing lists.
To view your saved list, click the My Lists drawer, located in the lower-left section of the Titles search page. My List is shown as the default. If you created a new list, click the title of your saved list shown on the right pane of the drawer. Refer to the example below.

The number shown in parenthesis indicates the number of items in that
list. If you have multiple lists saved, click the heading of the
one you want to view.
Once your list is displayed, you will find your list of items along with its respective author in the left column. In the middle column, you will find the format and publication year for the item. If letters appear cut off, place your mouse over the heading; the heading starts to scroll so you can view its entirety. In addition, you can do the following:

The My Lists options are discussed below:
Remove Selected:
Would you like to remove some or all items from your list? For
individual items, select the check box located to the left of the
title, and for all items, select the check box located to the left
of Remove Selected. After you have selected your item(s) check
box, click the Remove Selected
button. A dialog box displays asking, Are
you sure you want to remove the item(s) from the list? Click
Remove. A message appears,
Item(s) removed from list.
Your items are removed from the list.
Note: If you remove all
of your items from your list, the list title still remains. To
delete your list title, see Remove discussed at the
end of this topic.
Request Selected:
Would you like to place a request for the items on your saved
list? Select the check box(es) for the items you want to place
a request. To select all of the items in your list at once,
click the check box located to the left of Remove Selected. Next,
click the Request Selected
button.
Note: Depending on your
library's setup, Hold Selected
might display instead of Request
Selected.
A dialog box appears with a drop-down list to allow you to select
the location as to where you want to pick up the items once they arrive.
After you have selected your location click the Request button located underneath
the drop-down list, as shown in the example below.

A message displays advising whether your requests were placed successfully. All successful requests are now located under Requests in My Account. For information on how to view your items on request, see View Items on Request. If you cannot place a request on all the items, a message appears advising the title for each item that could not be placed on request. By hovering over the blue question mark, a pop-up displays advising the reason why this item could not be placed on request. If you require further assistance, check with your librarian.
News Feed:
Would you like to add your saved list to a News Feed? Click
the orange News Feed
symbol to subscribe to
your saved list. For more information on News Feeds, see Understand News Feeds. Note: The only type of News
Feed you will not
be able to subscribe to is digital collections.
Details: Would you like to view more information on an individual item in your saved list? Click the title or the Details button to be redirected to the Details page.
Print: Would you like to print your list? Instead of writing all of the information down on paper to locate items on the shelf, simply print the list out. If you have more than ten items saved in a list, all items will print and not just the ones that are currently displaying. The list provides all the information you need: title of the item, author (if available), collection, and call number. In addition, the list will automatically sort by collection, followed by the call number in alpha-numeric order so you can easily locate the items; This is especially handy when you have several items on a list. But before you print, check with your librarian for the library's policy on printing. Print fees may be involved.
Click the Print button. A new window opens with your list of items. Your list will print exactly how it is displayed on the screen. Click Print located in the lower-right corner of the window, as shown below.

The Print dialog screen displays. Select the appropriate printer, and then click Print.
To return to the My Lists drawer, click the X button in the upper-right corner on the window. For more detailed information on printing your lists, see Print My Lists.
Bibliography Export: Would you like to export your list into a Bibliographic format and then print it? With only a couple of clicks, you can have your Bibliography printed out. This feature is handy when doing a research project or writing a report. If you have more than ten items saved in a list, all items will be exported into a Bibliographic format, not just the ones that are currently displaying. Prior to printing, check with your librarian to find out their policies and see if there are any print fees involved. Depending on your library's setup, if Bibliography Export is not shown as an option, you will not be able to export your list into a Bibliographic format.
Click the Bibliography Export button. A new window opens with your list converted into a Bibliographic format. An example is shown below.

Click Print located in the lower-right corner of Bibliography Export window. The Print dialog screen displays. Select the appropriate printer, and then click Print.
To return
to the My Lists drawer, click
the x button in the upper-right
corner of the Bibliography Export
window. For more detailed information on printing your Bibliography
export, see Export
List into a Bibliography Format.
Rename: Would you like to rename your list? Display the list you want to rename and click the Rename button located at the bottom of the My Lists drawer. The Rename List dialog box displays with the current list name populated in the entry box. Clear the old name and type the new name. Click Submit. The new name will now show in the right column of the My Lists drawer.
Remove: Would you like to remove your saved list? Display the list you want to remove and click the Remove button located on the bottom of the My Lists drawer. A dialog box displays asking, Are you sure you want to remove the [name of list] list? Click Remove. A message appears advising, The list has been removed. Your list title and all items in that list are removed from the My Lists section.
To close My Lists click the 'X' located in the upper-right corner of the My Lists drawer, as shown below. You will be redirected to the Titles search page. Continue as desired, or select Log Off.

WARNING! Protect your identity by selecting Log Off once you are finished with your current session. Failure to log off could allow other borrowers to access your personal information. After a certain amount of time with no mouse activity, you will be automatically logged off. |
